Email Setup (Outlook)
Do NOT attempt to use the Outlook setup wizard. It will fail.
Instead go to Control Panel and "View by Small Icons"
Then open Mail (Microsoft Outlook)
Then set up the account by clicking Email Accounts...
Then New...
Choose Manual setup or additional server types
Choose POP or IMAP
Chose IMAP in the dropdown box
Enter as follows
- Name and email address as advised in your setup email
- Choose IMAP
- Enter server address as advised in your setup email
- Enter your username and password as advised in your setup email
Then click More Settings ...
On the Outgoing Server tab put a tick in My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
On the Advanced tab ports and type change as below and when done click OK.
Then click Next. All being well Outlook will make a successful test connection and your account will be set up correctly.
